Microcredit

Microcredit is a financial innovation which originated in developing countries where it has successfully enabled extremely impoverished people (mostly women) to engage in self-employment projects that allow them to generate an income and, in many cases, begin to build wealth and exit poverty.

ACCION International
The mission of ACCION International is to give people the tools they need to work their way out of poverty. By providing "micro" loans and business training to poor women and men who start their own businesses, ACCION's partner lending organizations help people work their own way up the economic ladder, with dignity and pride.
ADA
ADA is a non-profit organisation based in Luxembourg. Since 1994, ADA has been working with Microfinance Institutions (MFIs) by offering them a unique combination of financial support and customised technical services.
ANU - Development Studies Network
The Development Studies Network is a multidisciplinary organisation which encourages discussion and widespread exchange of knowledge of global social and economic development issues, development-related research, and international development assistance policy and practice. The Network seeks to enhance cooperation between development studies and development education programmes in universities, colleges, government and non government organisations and the private sector.

CGD is an independent, not-for-profit think tank that works to reduce global poverty and inequality by encouraging policy change in the U.S. and other rich countries through rigorous research and active engagement with the policy community.
Eurodad
Eurodad is the European Network on Debt and Development. Eurodad is a network of 52 development non-governmental organisations from 17 European countries working on international economic justice issues. We press for national and international policies that overcome the current debt crisis and achieve poverty eradication and the empowerment of the poor.
