Global Microcredit Summit in Halifax, Canada

The Green Children, Tom and Milla recently attended the Global Microcredit Summit in Halifax, Canada. This is the leading conference for microfinance professionals and featured seminars, workshops and meetings to discuss all issues related to microfinancing.

Tom and Milla met many of the top practicioners and planted seeds for projects in the future. 2006 Nobel Peace Prize winner, Professor Muhammad Yunus was the keynote speaker and spent time with Tom and Milla discussing Green Children/Grameeen projects and bringing the message of microcredit to the youth of the world.

Professor Yunus, John Hatch of FINCA and many other speakers talked passionately about the need for the youth of the world to take microfinance as their own to bring about poverty alleviation. The Green Children will focus their efforts on bringing the message of change and transformation for the worlds poorest by using microfinance.

Their music video 'Hear Me Now' was played at the opening ceremony of the summit.
